Genno hammer for kigoroshi |
|
■ |
In the process of kigoroshi, boards are beaten all over evenly. Boards should be nailed together on the same day. A time slot for fine and dry weather (about from 10:00 to 15:00) should be chosen for this work. The drier boards are, the more effective kigoroshi works and the boards get dented. |

■ |
As time passes, the beaten area returns to the original condition. This method aims to make joints stick together utilizing the restoring force of wood. |
